My git skills are getting rusty and i somehow messed up the commits branches a bit so this PR includes both some fixes related to --mono, and fixes for varset? and the new feature --rotate. sorry.

@1ntronaut to use these changes you will need the rotate branch, but i will merge them into next within the next 5-10 seconds :) , as mentioned in top comment, my git/github skill are a bit rusty.

@1ntronaut yes you can reinstall from next, i will just add some updates to release notes and such and then make a proper release (master/tarball) with the changes,
