Hello Simon, thanks for the PR!

Personally i never liked the settings thing introduced in ST3 where both the user and default settings opened inside a new window side-by-side. Mostly because if one forget to close that "new window" it will stay in the projects workspace. I actually prefer the old ST2 way/current way of handling this in PathBox, where the files are opened one by one in the same window.

At the same time, its not a big deal, and I think it is important to strive for a concise user experience, so if this new way is the way things are going, we should do that here as well.
